Gandhi Shilp Bazaar Exhibition-cum-sale inaugurated at HSR Layout
The Gandhi Shilp Bazaar Exhibition cum sale was inaugurated at White Houzz Convention Hall (next to BDA complex), HSR Layout sixth sector on Saturday. The exhibition is organised by the Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited. The exhibition features special craftsmanship, elegant paintings, textiles, jewellery and many more.
Speaking on the occasion, Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited Managing Director D Roopa Moudgil said, “This is one of its kind exhibitions where one can see a variety of handicrafts under one roof. More than 100 artisans from across the country are participating in this programme. To encourage them, we have waived off the rent, power and water charges and also provided DA and TA to them. I request more and more customers to visit the exhibition and encourage the artisans. During the last financial year, we had conducted four exhibitions; two in Bengaluru and one each in Tumakuru and Kodagu. However, due to Covid second wave and lockdown, we were not able to organise the exhibition and hence this is the first Gandhi exhibition. We have got support from the Centre for the exhibition. Our main aim is to connect artisans to the customers.”
